Beginning Beekeeping Classes

The Colonial Beekeepers Association will present a five day course for Beginning Beekeepers. The course will be held on four consecutive Thursdays, March 28 and April 4, 11, and 18 with a Field Day Saturday, April 20, 2013.  Classes will be held at the Northampton Community Center in Hampton, Virginia. The Saturday Field Day will be held in a local bee yard. The course consists of lectures and hands-on demonstrations with an emphasis on sustainable, chemical-free practices.

Queen Rearing Course

The Colonial Beekeepers Association will present a Queen Rearing Course with presentations by Dr. Rick Fell and Keith Tignor.  The course will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2012 at the Northampton Community Center in Hampton, Virginia.  Cost: $25.00 - Includes book, refreshments in the morning and lunch.  This course is open to all VSBA members.

Pre registration and payment by 15 January 2013 is required.

Getting Started in Beekeeping Presentation

Colonial Beekeepers "Getting Started in Beekeeping" presentation will be a great opportunity for those of you considering beekeeping to come out and see what it is all about! We will have a meet and greet informational meeting where folks can come out and just consider whether beekeeping makes any sense for themselves and their situation.
