The Blue Ridge Beekeepers Association is one of the oldest running bee clubs in the Commonwealth of Virginia and a 501(c) (3) registered non-profit organization with the IRS. With over 300 or more years of combined experience, the club is the perfect place for beginners and masters alike. The group meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month except for December. The meetings are informative and usually include a guest speaker. The club consist of board members, President - Robert Howard, Vice President – David Foutz, Secretary - Linda Oliver, and Treasurer – Angela Nardechia. Along with our monthly meetings, the club is involved in educating the public about the sustainability and pleasures of beekeeping and providing assistance and guidance to new and future beekeepers.  The club also collaborates each year with the Botetourt Beekeepers Association and presents a beginner beekeeping class each February through March.

The VSBA is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting and advancing beekeeping in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Membership in the VSBA is open to beekeepers and non-beekeepers, alike. Annual membership dues are $12.00 per individual/family or $10.00 through local associations. In addition to other benefits, members receive a quarterly newsletter.
